A native of Athens, Ga., Rev., Dr. Marcus L. Stroud began his formal education in the Athens Clarke County School System and later graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1993. He then attended the Albany State University (ASU) in Albany, Georgia. After graduating from ASU, he finished his master’s degree in Education at Troy University. Later in 2014, Rev. Stroud completed his Education Specialist degree in Leadership from Albany State. In May of 2020, He completed his dissertation and received his doctoral degree in Ministry from Southwest Georgia Theological Seminary.

He currently teaches and serves as a testing coordinator in Rockdale County Conyers, Georgia. He has recently completed his 23rd year in the teaching field and is still just as excited about the future of our coming generations of young lives.

Rev. Stroud acknowledged his calling into the preaching ministry in 2001. He was licensed in 2004 then ordained in 2005. Shortly thereafter, Rev. Stroud was called to the pastoral ministry in February 2006. Later, after much prayer and guidance from the Lord, Stroud relinquished his pastoral duties of over 15 years in 2021 and relocated his family back to the Northeast Georgia/Metro Atlanta area to conduct the mission and vision of the outreach ministry that God birthed through him several years ago.

 

Dr. Stroud is the founder and CEO of Celestial Outreach and Training Services Inc. (C.O.A.T.S) which is a faith-based outreach organization that endeavors to reach underprivileged individuals who may have a need in the areas of food, clothing, education, and workforce development.

 

Pastor Stroud has been blessed with the gift of expository teaching and has a style of preaching that captivates and propels the audience to a level of insight that clarifies the message and causes his practical teaching to be absorbed by many. He is married to the lovely Mrs. Adrianne Stroud, originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia who works tirelessly as a twice acclaimed “Teacher of the Year” educator in the public-school sector of metro Atlanta. She is also a dynamic instructor of biblical truth alongside her husband as they proclaim the scriptures to all who have an ear to hear. They are often seen together boldly delivering the Gospel through expository preaching, teaching, and rightly dividing the word of truth with fearless delivery and simplicity.
